A Nike themed birthday party might seem odd unless you are the Harper family (my wife's parents.) Her Dad was once sponsored by Nike as an elite runner back in the day before Jordan and Tiger Woods. I always knew her Dad was some sort of runner back in the day, but I don't think it was until we were married for a few years before I realized how elite he was and it blew my mind because he is so humble about it all. The grandkids will be stoked someday, but until then water balloons and slip and slides are going to win out.
