Amanda ran the LA Marathon over the weekend. Its hard to believe 30,000 people all agree doing this is a good idea. This may sound simple, but man...it looks so hard. Inspiring, until you are spectating at mile 20. This is when you see the distance really get to people. The heat. Dehydration. Lack of physical training. No lack of heart, though. To see people trek along like extra's on the Walking Dead and not quit, it makes me wonder if I could do it. Then I smell In and Out from across the street and all thoughts of maybe wanting to try a marathon are drowned out.
This marathon was extra cool because Amanda ran it with friends sponsoring her for Team Parker. She ran a gofundme page leading up to the race and it was awesome watching friends donate all the way up until the night of the race. I know Parker isn't the only little guy going through a rough patch and I especially know people don't always have extra money these days, but we cannot thank you enough for helping out with the donations.
