I met Jena through a mutual friend....who happened to be one of the first maternity session I ever shot (thanks, Kristina!) We met up at South Ponto Beach in Carlsbad on a perfect day to photograph at the beach. Since I live 30 minutes from the beach, it is always hit or miss on how great the light will be for photography sessions. It seems the winters are best since the clouds stick around to diffuse the sunlight and a hot day hasn't burnt them away. Below are a few images from Jena's session.
