It is a funny story on how Annalisa and I are friends. When I first started getting into photography, her husband and my neighbor, started his own motorsports company Section8ight. He saw I that I was messing around with lights in the back alley and needed photos for his website and thus the era of back alley photo shoots in the ghetto of El Cajon was born. And I say ghetto in that our shoots were regularly interrupted by the police serving search warrants on neighbors and random shootings that would catch our attention. In order to be able to pull off any of the shoots we needed a model. Annalisa was reluctant, but always came through, even when it was 40 degrees outside and I was trying to act like I knew what I was doing. In all of that time though his company has grown bigger and my technique has gotten better and we really owe a lot to her being such a good sport about it all. You will find her on the Section8ight website, Sidi catalogs, and a few of the larger motorcycle magazines. We always joke about how she has been published more than models that actually try to model.
So here we are two years later, not shooting in an alley, but actually in my studio in Santee.
Love all the pics but the one that catches my eye the most is the black & white pic where she's posing in the Christ position love the contrasts of the shadowing good job man...
