Raquel +Miguel | Marina Village Mission Bay Wedding

Raquel and Miguel. One is a rocket scientist and the other knows just about everything possible about Volkswagen....especially how to make them go extremely fast. When I first met Raquel and Miguel, I thought how cool it was how opposites attract. The more I thought about it though, their connection makes perfect sense. They both study and build things to go fast and far. One just sends their's vertical and the other horizontal. That same devotion they have for their craft, they have for each other as well. When you photograph people for a living, you get to really inspect people. The lens almost like a microscope studying the chemistry between two people. How they laugh with each other. How they are comfortable holding each other. It is in these little moments that you get a sense of love and compassion a couple has for each other.

It was a lot of fun getting to photograph their wedding and I cannot say enough THANK YOU's for welcoming me in like an old friend and allowing me to photograph your wedding.

And a special thank you to "Hate Tank."

Their wedding was held at Marina Village in Mission Bay. The sun was going down right behind the trees during the ceremony and the lighting was epic. Marina Village is such an awesome place to host a wedding because the location has large area of places to shoot that are unique to San Diego. The marina, the water, their beautiful park setting, and the reception hall is gorgeous. Huge large windows facing the water that let in the most beautiful light that looks amazing against the wood interior of their halls. Below are some images of their wedding.

Bride getting ready images shot by assistant photographer Shannon Bailey. This was my first time working with her and I cannot say enough about her work. "Like" her on facebook and check out more of her work HERE
