Every year I promise myself I am going to post to my blog more. Thus it being a new year, I am sitting at the computer thinking, "Why don't I post to my blog more?"

Every other year we travel back to my hometown of Springfield, IL for the holidays. This year we had the added bonus of attending my older brothers wedding. It was odd being at a wedding and not working. Also, a lot less stressful. Below are some images from our trip back home and the kids welcoming in 2016 with their cousins back home in California.

Andreas + Dana | Los Penasquitos Ranch House Wedding

Andreas and Dana celebrated their wedding at the Los Penasquitos Ranch House in San Diego. The Los Penasquitos Ranch House is a hidden gem for San Diego weddings. Every time I shoot here, the layout is unique to the couple getting married. The venue feels vast yet intimate at the same time. In less than 100 yards you can shoot using the awesome ranch house, the open fields, within the tree groves, and one of my favorite...the huge white bard (image above.)

Oh, and if you are thinking of hiring a cartoonish to sketch caricatures of your guest...do it.
