Last year I ran a giveaway on my Facebook page. I asked for people to nominate families that they think should get a free family photography session. I ended up meeting a great family and I was so stoked to be able to give them images that they wouldn't have normally had the money to spend on a session themselves. So, I really wanted to do it again. Getting professional photos done may seem like a trivial thing sometimes. I know a lot of Dad's out there think so during sessions haha. One eye on the camera and the other looking down at the Charger's game scoring updates. But when it comes down to the photos you have with your family, think about the photos that feature all family members AND are not on a cell phone. Photos document our memories. They give validity to the character and quirks that make up our families. I hate that money sometimes dictates being able to have photos taken. Honestly, I think any photographer who takes their craft seriously will tell you combining art and money is truly a difficult thing.
So what I need from you!
If you know someone that maybe had a hard year. Someone got laid off. Someone got sick. Or maybe just people who you think are awesome and need to get their photos take, hit me up! Now don't get me wrong, I don't want to make this a charity case type thing. I don't post anything about their story or mention anything on my blog or Facebook about the session. Everything is just the same as my other sessions except....you. I don't need an essay, just shoot me a quick note. I will read them over and choose the winner on Friday Dec. 26th. I will then contact the winner and let them know someone thinks they're awesome and their free session is good for anytime all of 2015.
