Ian & Ratha - Balboa Park and Coronado Beach Engagement Photography
If there was ever a time that I could make a whole blog posting of outtakes from an engagement session, Ian and Ratha's would be the one. The easiest thing in the world to photograph is people being themselves in front of the lens and Ian and Ratha did just that. We met up last week on a rainy Sunday to photograph their engagement session which started at Balboa Park and then ended on the beach out front of the Hotel Del in Coronado. Rain usually isn't something you wish for during any sort of photo session, but these two rolled with it. Where most I think would be hesitant to reschedule, it could have been a downpour and I doubt it would have even hit their radar. The overcast and drizzle became a part of the session and not something we were trying to work around or wait to go away. As a photographer, it is difficult sometimes to get your clients to think like photographers. Being natural, holding poses, going with the flow, etc. Ian and Ratha knocked it out of the park and I am extremely exited to shoot their wedding. Since first meeting with them I constantly have the "pre-wedding surf images" flying through my head. Below are a few images from their session.

These pictures continue to be extremely special for us as was the shooting experience. You made Ratha and I so relaxed and helped us enjoy the process and it came right through in the photos. We will always remember our wedding and stay grateful for the HUGE role you played in it. The second shoot on our year anniversary was awesome and a killer experience again with incredible results. Thank you again for the great idea and for making the shoot a reality.
