Gwyneth and Devin. The way these two express their love for each other is rare. Not rare that they do it in a weird way, of course. Rare in that they totally lose themselves when in each other company. When I was shooting the "first look," Gwyneth had told me this was the longest they had been a part in years. Watching them see each other for the first time, feeling the build up and then release of love on to each other reminded me of old movies where the man comes back from war or a long trip, his love the only thing on his mind. That may sound a bit dramatic, but also a fitting description.
Their wedding was held at the ZLAC Rowing Club in Pacific Beach (just a couple blocks from their house.) This was my first time shooting a wedding at the rowing club. Despite being on a popular boardwalk area and a very popular part of San Diego, it really feels welcoming and comfortable. If you never walked out to the beach area, you would never guess there was anything near you for miles. Epic location for an intimate wedding with family and friends.
