One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is documenting my family. It is where I started in photography and still the area of photography I enjoy the most. I love looking back over the images of my kids and our adventures as a traveling circus of four or just some random morning of us just wrestling around in bed and being lazy. Going from photographing my own family to photographing other's families, the only thing that has really changed for me is involving business. Art + money has never been a comfortable combo for me. My family is just like pretty much everyone elses family I know. At times we struggle. Worry about bill's and paydays. I know there are people out there that struggle even worse than the average family, but that shouldn't stop them from being able to have their family documented as well. Without the stress of worrying how to move money around to pay for it.
SO. I am offering FREE family photo sessions to those families and wanted to reach out to the community to nominate one. or two. Or however many you know. I DO NOT want this to be charity. This is simply an offer from one family to another in saying, "hey, I feel you."
