Daniel + Taylor Sunset Cliffs Beach Wedding | San Diego Rowing Club

Wedding days can be stressful. Daniel and Taylor's wedding fortunately was not one of these weddings. I have photographed weddings where the expectations were super high. Which I totally understand. It is a day brides have been thinking of since they were a little girl. There is usually quite a bit of money invested in venues, caterers, DJ's, dresses,....photographers. But, I have yet to shoot a wedding where the timing was perfect. Where there wasn't something missing or ready on time. How a bride and groom react to these very minor issues (in the long run, you can leave them a bad yelp review after the wedding!) makes all the difference in being able to remember what the day is for.

I don't think stress in Daniel or Taylor's DNA. Other than Daniel really, really wanting to grab his surf board while watching the break on Sunset Cliff's, their wedding day was just an awesome gathering of friends and family. It was exactly what your wedding day should be. Perfect.

Below are some of the images of their wedding. They both had rooms at Paradise Point for getting ready, then we all headed over to Sunset Cliff's for a ceremony on the cliff's overlooking the ocean. It was the first really hot day in San Diego, so beach traffic was pretty dead...

After the ceremony, we drove over to a very cool and unique reception location, the San Diego Rowing Club / The Garty Pavillion in Mission Bay. If anyone is looking for a location that is the epitome of "San Diego," the Rowing Club is your spot. It sits right on the water and has amazing views of the bay. The interior of the building is decorated with rich history of San Diego and combined with the large bay doors, the sitting areas with fire pits, and the calming glow of outdoor lighting, you feel as though you are enjoying the night in a friends backyard. I think that beats the stuffy and hideous hotel halls that were made for insurance sales conventions and not your wedding.
